BEHIND THE NAME

Hi everyone,

My name is Kaitlyn and I am currently a sophomore at George Mason University. I am studying Communication with a minor in Electronic Journalism and I absolutely love it!! I love writing and I love fashion, so my goal is to someday put those two passions together and work for a fashion magazine. But, while I have the time, I am going to work on this blog! I have wanted to start a blog for the longest time; I just never got around to doing it. So with a little encouragement from my boyfriend, I decided that winter break would be the best time to start!

Anyone who knows me well would definitely say that I kind of have an addiction to fashion and fashion blogs- I literally have probably a thousand or more blogs bookmarked on my computer!! I really just can't help myself. I absolutely love fashion! And logically, the next step for me was to start my own blog.

So when it came time to name my blog, I really wasn't sure what to choose. Being the obsessed person that I am, I had around 25 possible names typed up in my iPod and choosing one wasn't easy. I quickly filtered out some possibilities like It's Contagious- that's just not going to work- and F**k the White Picket Fence- that just didn't seem appropriate. I finally decided on DREAMSAREALITY, and if you aren't seeing it, it's supposed to be DREAMS ARE REALITY, I just combined all of the words together.

I've always been the type of person to have a never-ending list of things I wanted to do, but, at the same time, I was that person who would put those things off. However, recently, I've come to realize just how short life really is. Time is precious and you have to use the time you are given to follow your dreams. I firmly believe that if you want something in life you can achieve it. It may not always be easy, but hard work will pay out in the end, and your dreams can truly become a reality!
